Location: Central London / Hybrid
Salary: £50,000 + commission and excellent benefits
Membership Bespoke is seeking a Commercial Manager – Event Sponsorship for a highly respected UK industry membership organisation in the private capital and financial services sector. This is an exceptional opportunity for a commercially driven sponsorship professional to manage sponsorship revenue for a prestigious portfolio of high-profile industry events attended by senior decision-makers.
If you excel at building commercial partnerships, negotiating high-value sponsorship deals, and driving revenue growth through strategic events, this role offers significant scope for impact.
The Opportunity:
Collaborate with senior leadership across commercial and events teams to develop and execute sponsorship strategies that boost revenue and deliver value to industry partners. You will oversee the entire sponsorship lifecycle, from identifying opportunities and crafting compelling propositions to closing deals and ensuring successful partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive sponsorship revenue for flagship industry events.
- Identify and secure new commercial partnerships and sponsorship opportunities.
- Develop innovative sponsorship packages aligned with industry trends and member interests.
- Work with senior leadership to achieve and exceed commercial revenue targets.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with sponsors and strategic partners.
- Manage the end-to-end sponsorship process, including pitching, negotiation, and contract fulfilment.
- Collaborate with events and marketing teams to maximize commercial opportunities.
- Represent the organisation at industry events and networking opportunities.
The Ideal Candidate:
We are looking for a commercially astute, relationship-driven sponsorship professional who thrives in a target-driven environment. You should possess:
- 6–8 years of experience in sponsorship sales, partnerships, or commercial business development.
- A proven track record of winning sponsorship revenue and driving commercial growth.
- Experience working with events, conferences, or industry programmes.
- Excellent negotiation, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
- Confidence in engaging with senior stakeholders and commercial decision-makers.
- A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset and strong commercial acumen.
- Experience using CRM systems (ideally Microsoft Dynamics).
Experience within financial services, private capital, professional services, or membership organisations is highly advantageous.
