Role: Specialist Software Engineer - DevOps
About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer with strong backgrounds in software engineering and system administration. You will collaborate closely with development, operations, and security teams to enhance efficiency and scalability within our CI/CD pipelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and maintain scalable infrastructure for software applications using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC).
- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment processes.
- Collaborate with engineers to troubleshoot issues, optimize workflows, and ensure smooth code integration.
- Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and resolve incidents proactively.
- Manage cloud services (AWS/Azure/GCP) and on-premise servers as needed.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in DevOps or similar roles.
- Strong background in Linux/Unix administration and scripting (Bash, Python).
- Experience with IaC tools like Terraform or Ansible.
- Hands-on knowledge of cloud platforms and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
Technical Skills
- CI/CD Tools: Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions.
- IaC: Terraform, Ansible.
- Scripting: Shell, Python, Groovy.
- Security: Firewall management, SSL, encryption key management.
