Specialist

We are seeking an experienced FRACAS Systems Specialist Engineer to evaluate, analyze, and improve the reliability of Department of Defense communications systems. In this role, you will manage the full FRACAS process, conduct thorough investigations into failures, perform root cause analysis, recommend corrective actions, and drive design improvements across multiple engineering programs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive Failure Reporting, Analysis and Corrective Action System (FRACAS) workflows including investigation and technical recommendations for design enhancements.
• Direct investigations to determine the root cause of failures in various designs, production units, and field-reported communication systems and components.
• Provide expert recommendations to the Failure Review Board (FRB).
• Coordinate efforts across Engineering, Manufacturing, Programs, Material Control, and Quality departments for issue resolution within a multi-disciplined development environment.
• Maintain FRACAS databases, monitor investigation status, track open cases, and generate reports for management and customers using tools like Business Objects and SQL.
• Develop detailed repair reports for MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul) and warranty units, documenting findings and disposition recommendations.
