Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Java Spring Boot Engineer with strong Google Cloud Platform experience. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and support secure, scalable cloud-native healthcare applications while leveraging Google Vertex AI to improve delivery speed and code quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade backend services using Java Spring Boot REST APIs and microservices architecture.
• Build and deploy cloud-native applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) including Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, PubSub, and managed databases.
• Integrate Google Vertex AI capabilities into healthcare applications for generative AI model endpoints and intelligent automation use cases.
• Apply responsible AI practices to accelerate development while ensuring code quality, security, and maintainability.
• Collaborate with product owners, architects, QA, DevOps, and healthcare stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare data privacy standards including protection of PHI/PII and HIPAA-aligned controls.

Required Skills

• Mandatory: 6+ years experience in Java Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, microservices, GCP services (Cloud Run), Terraform knowledge preferred.
• Hackathon Domain Knowledge: Healthcare domain familiarity including payer/provider claims or patient engagement platforms is highly valuable. Experience with HL7/FHIR standards and HIPAA compliance is a strong plus for Kolkata-based healthcare roles.
