Full Job Description
Rhombus Power Inc. is seeking a skilled Solutions Engineer in Delhi, India. In this critical role, you will serve as a hands-on software generalist embedded with our national security partners. Similar to pioneering Forward Deployed roles, you will be the technical expert at the forefront of tackling world-changing problems with advanced AI technology. Your responsibilities will include rapidly understanding customer operational challenges, and architecting, building, and deploying custom solutions leveraging the Rhombus Power platform. This position blends software development with customer support, requiring comfort in writing code across DevOps, frontend, and backend, while also acting as the primary technical consultant.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with intelligence partners to gain a deep understanding of their missions, data workflows, and requirements for predictive insights.
- Design, develop, and deploy customized software solutions and applications using the Rhombus Power AI platform.
- Function as a versatile software generalist, writing, testing, and maintaining production-grade code across the entire technology stack, including cloud/DevOps configuration, backend data services, and interactive frontend user interfaces.
- Provide expert technical consultation to partners, advising them on the optimal utilization of our products to achieve their strategic business and mission objectives.
- Act as the technical liaison, facilitating effective communication between customer teams and Rhombus Power's core product engineering teams to influence product development direction.
- Troubleshoot complex issues within live operational environments, offering expert technical support and guidance to ensure mission continuity.
- Undertake travel to customer sites for deployment, integration, and ongoing operational support.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 2-3 years of professional experience in a relevant technical field such as Software Engineering, Technical Consulting, or Data Engineering.
- Demonstrated ability to excel as a software generalist, with the capacity to contribute effectively across the full technology stack (DevOps, frontend, and backend).
- Proven experience in customer-facing roles, encompassing requirement gathering, solution presentations, and technical support.
- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language, such as Python, JavaScript, or Go.
- Experience with Linux/Unix systems and system administration is considered a significant asset.
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
