Solutions Engineer

As part of Cisco's Cybersecurity Presales Engineering team for Small and Medium-Sized Businesses (SMB), you will build trust, understand customer needs, and demonstrate how our solutions protect and empower their businesses.

Your impact will involve partnering with Account Executives on territory, account, and opportunity planning, and engaging directly with prospective clients. We value self-starters who can build consultative relationships and execute sales strategies to improve win rates. You will share your excitement for technology, making it approachable for everyone from Security Operations to C-level executives.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Exceptional communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate sophisticated technology into approachable language for audiences with varying technical expertise.
• A strong desire to win and contribute to a successful sales team.

Preferred Qualifications:

• In-depth understanding of cybersecurity and networking technologies, concepts, standards, methods, operations, and uses.
• Proven experience in presales, SMB-focused roles, or similar customer-facing positions.
• Relevant industry certifications such as CISSP, CompTIA Security+, or similar credentials.
• Multilingual capabilities are a plus, enabling broader customer connection.
• Proficiency in English.
• A bachelor's degree in computer science, presales, cybersecurity, or equivalent experience, combined with 1-3 years in a technical, customer-facing role (e.g., Solutions Engineer, Consultant, Customer Success Engineer) and a proven understanding of cybersecurity solutions, terminology, markets, and customer needs.
