Software Test Engineer - Gurugram, Haryana

Advantal Technologies is seeking a skilled Software Test Engineer with 3-5 years of experience to join our dynamic QA team in Gurugram. This full-time, on-site position requires a proactive individual with hands-on experience in automated testing for web and mobile platforms. You will play a crucial role in maintaining software quality throughout the development lifecycle by collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of automation testing principles and a passion for delivering exceptional software. You will contribute to developing robust testing strategies and ensuring the highest quality standards are met.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute automated test cases for applications.
• Identify and prioritize test scenarios for automation.
• Develop and obtain approval for comprehensive test plans.
• Utilize automation tools such as QTP, Selenium, and Appium.
• Collaborate effectively with developers and QA teams to resolve identified issues.
• Perform various types of testing, including performance, load, stress, regression, and security testing.
• Document and track defects using bug tracking systems like Jira.
• Provide clear and detailed defect reports and test summaries.
• Engage with clients to address and resolve quality-related concerns.
• Continuously learn and stay updated with the latest testing tools, techniques, and industry trends.
• Contribute to the creation and maintenance of test strategies, plans, and documentation.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in Quality Assurance and automation testing.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in manual testing.
• Proficiency in testing tools like Selenium, Appium, and Postman.
• Strong knowledge of programming languages and technologies including Java, SQL, Python, HTML/CSS/XML.
• Experience with Database Testing and familiarity with Agile/DevOps methodologies.
• Solid understanding of load, stress, and performance testing concepts.
• Demonstrated ability to create and maintain detailed test documentation.
• Excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving skills.
• Proven experience in web and mobile application testing is essential.
• Knowledge of test management tools and bug tracking systems.
