Software / Staff Engineer

The Staff Engineer role at Jodo involves owning critical product initiatives from concept to production. You will write high-quality code across frontend and backend systems using Go, Python, and JavaScript while defining scalable architectures that balance speed, reliability, and maintainability.

• Define technical direction and address scaling/security challenges early.
• Ensure production-ready, observable systems with strong testing practices.
• Solve real business problems by collaborating closely with product, design, and customers to own outcomes rather than just implementation details.
• Leverage AI extensively for development acceleration across coding, debugging, and decision-making while establishing best practices within the organization.

• 4+ years of experience with a startup background and proven ability to build products from scratch.
• Strong system design skills covering APIs, data flows, reliability, and scalable architectures.
• Demonstrated comfort working across the full stack in ambiguous environments with high ownership.
