Software Engineer/Java

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Software Engineer specializing in Java, Kafka (Kafla), Python programming, and AI-assisted development practices. This position offers the opportunity to work on low to moderately complex initiatives within the technology domain.

In this role, you will:

• Participate in installation, upgrades, deployment efforts, and service quality improvements for technical projects
• Design, code, test, debug, and document solutions with guidance from senior team members while leveraging approved AI tools where appropriate
• Analyze technical assignments requiring research, evaluation of alternative technologies, and selection based on low to medium risk deliverables
• Present recommendations for resolving issues or escalate as needed to meet established service level agreements (SLAs)
• Exercise independent judgment regarding security, compliance requirements, and responsible AI usage in development workflows
• Provide information to technology colleagues, internal partners, and stakeholders with clear communication skills

Required Qualifications:

• 2+ years of software engineering experience or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military service, or education
