Software Engineering Professional

BT Group is seeking a proficient AI/ML engineer to extract value from data. This role involves end-to-end processes including data collection, cleaning, pre-processing, model training, and deployment in production and non-production environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand business objectives and develop models to achieve them, establishing metrics for tracking progress.
• Analyze and rank potential Machine Learning algorithms for problem-solving based on success probability.
• Ensure data quality through verification and cleaning processes.
• Supervise data acquisition when additional data is required.
• Define validation strategies and pre-processing/feature engineering steps.
• Develop data augmentation pipelines.
• Train models and fine-tune hyperparameters.
• Analyze model errors and design strategies to improve performance.
• Perform statistical analysis and fine-tuning based on test results.
• Train and retrain systems as needed.
• Implement model deployment pipelines (MLOps) with knowledge of AWS/GCP deployment.

Required Skills and Experience

• Minimum 4 years of experience as a Machine Learning Engineer/Artificial Intelligence Engineer.
• Proficiency in solving business problems using Machine Learning algorithms, Deep Learning/Neural Network algorithms, sequential model development, and time series data modeling.
• Experience with Computer Vision techniques, Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN), Generative AI, and Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Experience deploying models using MLOps pipelines.
• Proficiency in handling structured and unstructured data, including SQL, BigQuery, and DataProc.
• Hands-on experience with API development using frameworks like Flask, Django, and FastAPI.
• Experience with AIOps for automating business and functional operations.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms like GCP and AWS. (Qlik experience is an added advantage).
• Understanding of data structures, data modeling, and software architecture.
• Expertise in visualizing and manipulating large datasets.
• Deep knowledge of mathematics, probability, statistics, and algorithms.
• Proficiency in Python and core machine learning libraries (scikit-learn, pandas). (R or Java knowledge is a plus).
• Proficiency in TensorFlow or Keras and OpenCV is a plus.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with the Linux environment.
• Low to medium familiarity with JIRA, GIT, Nexus, Jenkins is a plus.
• Minimum educational qualification: BE/B.Tech or similar degree in a relevant field.
