Software Engineer

About the Role

Off The Field Foundation is hiring an Associate-level Software Engineer for a remote position based in the United States. This full-time role focuses on developing reliable software components, integrating APIs, and maintaining robust application behavior.

Your Core Responsibilities:

• Investigate defects and document changes to ensure testable and maintainable code.
• Review local code commits before submitting for testing.
• Collaborate on technical requirements and clarify acceptance criteria with the team.
• Write clean, readable code aligned with project conventions.
• Reproduce and fix reported defects efficiently.
• Document implementation decisions and technical constraints.
• Assist with database queries or data models as needed for features.
• Safely handle credentials and sensitive data following established practices.

Requirements:

Ideally, you will have experience through coursework, internships, or personal projects. You should understand functions, data structures, debugging techniques, API documentation reading, and Git workflows. Comfort working independently in a remote environment is essential.
Annual Base Salary: $87,500 – $89,500 USD.
Must be authorized to work in the United States.
