Software Engineer

• Participate in installation, upgrades, and deployment efforts.
• Identify opportunities for service quality and availability improvements within the technology domain environment.
• Design, code, test, debug, and document projects associated with the technology domain.
• Review and analyze technical assignments related to low to medium risk deliverables.
• Present recommendations for resolving issues or escalate as needed to meet SLAs.
• Exercise independent judgment regarding security and compliance requirements.
• Provide information to colleagues, internal partners, and stakeholders.

Duties & Technologies:

• Apply strong understanding of microservices, Java/JEE, Spring framework, JavaScript, RESTful web services, and UI frameworks.
• Utilize latest unit testing tools (Junit), version control (GitHub), and build tools (Maven/Gradle).
• Demonstrate working knowledge of both SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Identify and remediate security vulnerabilities; practice Test Driven Development.

Required Qualifications:

• 4+ years of Software Engineering experience with hands-on application development using Java and distributed technologies (on-premises and cloud).
• Demonstrated ability to lead design and development, fix issues, implement new functionality, and contribute to large-scale planning.

Desired Qualifications:

• Domain knowledge in home lending or consumer lending spaces.
• Familiarity with messaging systems (MQ, Solace, Kafka) and DevOps concepts.
• Experience working globally in Agile scrums.
• GenAI expertise: Developing/fine-tuning models using PyTorch/TensorFlow/Hugging Face Transformers; implementing prompt engineering, safety guardrails, and RAG techniques with vector databases (Pinecone/FAISS).
• Strong understanding of Agentic AI and contributions to open-source projects.
