Role Overview:
As a Software Engineer at bp's Technology organization, you will build the technology powering all of our businesses.
About This Team:
Our team develops software and platforms for upstream energy production to downstream delivery. We encourage teams to adapt quickly using native AWS and Azure services including serverless technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, build, maintain technology features and infrastructure; ensure high availability, scalability, and security of systems; automate routine tasks; integrate with external/internal APIs; collaborate on complex problems; write secure, testable code adhering to industry standards; participate in code reviews; mentor junior engineers.
Technical Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Proficiency in C#, Java, Python, TypeScript, .NET Core, Angular/React.js. Experience with RESTful/GraphQL APIs and cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure) including containers, databases, serverless services. Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, SQL, and security best practices.
Soft Skills:
Excellent communication skills across all levels; ability to handle ambiguity and work independently or in a team; problem-solving abilities with creative solutions.
