Software Engineer

Summary of This Role

This role involves working across the entire software development lifecycle, creating, designing, coding, debugging, maintaining, testing, implementing, and validating applications. You will analyze existing applications, formulate logic for new ones, and develop documentation. Responsibilities include recommending development standards and creating implementation plans in a flexible environment.

What Part Will You Play

• Develop basic to moderately complex code (front or back-end) in collaboration with business and technology teams for internal and external client software solutions. Create and deliver routine program specifications for code development and support, with a moderate understanding of the application/database.
• Analyze, modify, and develop basic to moderately complex code, including unit testing and application documentation. Perform testing and validation for code changes and implement corrective measures, escalating proposals when necessary.
• Apply a moderate understanding of procedures, methodology, and application standards, including Payment Card Industry (PCI) security compliance.

What Are We Looking For in This Role

Minimum Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business / Management Information Systems or related field.
• Typically 2+ years of professional experience in coding, designing, developing, and analyzing data. Basic knowledge of at least two modern programming languages, experience with various APIs, external services, and both relational and NoSQL databases.

Preferred Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business / Management Information Systems or related field.
• 4+ years of professional experience in coding, designing, developing, and analyzing data, with experience in IBM Rational Tools.
