Role Summary

Analyze, design, develop, and maintain software solutions integrating firmware with hardware (specifically RFID embedded systems). Lead system integration efforts and ensure program reliability across our product portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish requirements for moderately complex software design projects within the Embedded Systems domain.

  • Prioritize features to maximize impact on customer solutions.

  • Lead code reviews and proactively address quality issues early in development cycles.

  • Manage all phases of moderately complex software projects, ensuring compliance with rigorous quality standards.

  • Create comprehensive documentation including design specs, code comments, and user manuals for Android/Linux based solutions.

  • Apply innovative approaches to enhance designs using the latest technologies in embedded firmware development.

  • Optimize existing software or firmware designs through continuous review and refinement.

  • Solve complex technical problems by leveraging expertise across multiple domains such as Java, C/C++, and system-level programming.

  • Create custom tools/scripts to streamline debugging and analysis processes.

    Requirements

    • Firmware Experience: Required experience working in RFID Embedded systems.
    • Development Languages: 4-6 years of strong development experience in Java or C/C++ preferred. Advanced degree holders may have slightly less time requirement (3+ years).
    • OS Proficiency: Strong expertise with Android and Linux operating systems is mandatory.
    • Technical Skills: Excellent debugging skills, architecture understanding, design pattern knowledge, GenAI adoption in SDLC, CI/CD pipelines, Git/GitHub proficiency.
    • Mentorship: Ability to guide junior personnel including both exempt and non-exempt team members.
