Full Job Description
Speechify is seeking a Software Engineer for its Platform team in Pune, India. This role is crucial for building and maintaining all backend services, including payments, analytics, subscriptions, new product development, text-to-speech functionality, and external APIs. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys making product decisions, and has a track record of creating exceptional user experiences. Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust APIs, including public TTS API, and internal APIs for payments, subscriptions, authentication, and consumption tracking, ensuring scalability and business alignment.
- Manage and optimize the entire backend API landscape for performance and maintainability.
- Contribute to the development of B2B solutions, addressing customization and integration needs for enterprise clients.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure backend architecture supports overall product strategy and user experience goals.
Qualifications
- Proven backend development experience, specifically with TypeScript/Node.js.
- Direct experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), with knowledge of AWS, Azure, or other cloud providers.
- Demonstrated efficiency in ideation and implementation, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively based on urgency and impact.
- Preferred: Experience with Docker and containerized deployments.
- Preferred: Proficiency in deploying highly available applications on Kubernetes.
