Mission: Build and maintain scalable backend services that power Speechify's text-to-speech ecosystem for millions of users globally.
About the Role
We are seeking a strategic Platform Software Engineer to design, develop, and optimize our core APIs (Payments, Analytics, Subscriptions, TTS, Auth). The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys making product decisions, and has experience delivering exceptional user experiences.
- Design and maintain robust public and internal APIs ensuring business scalability
- Oversee the full backend API landscape with a focus on performance optimization
- Collaborate to build B2B solutions for enterprise client customization
- Align backend architecture with product strategy across cross-functional teams
We Are Looking For:
- Mandatory: Proven experience in Backend Development using TypeScript/Node.js
- Demonstrated expertise with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and familiarity with AWS/Azure
- Strong ideation skills capable of prioritizing tasks by urgency and impact
Preferred: Experience with Docker for containerized deployments and deploying high-availability applications on Kubernetes.
