Software Engineer

Speechify, a leader in text-to-speech technology dedicated to making reading accessible for everyone, is seeking a talented Software Engineer for our Platform team in Delhi, India. The Platform team is crucial for building and maintaining our core backend services, encompassing payments, analytics, subscriptions, new product development, text-to-speech infrastructure, and external APIs. This role is ideal for a strategic thinker passionate about fast-paced environments, product innovation, and crafting exceptional user experiences.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain robust APIs, including our public TTS API and internal services for payments, subscriptions, authentication, and consumption tracking, ensuring scalability and alignment with business needs.
• Manage and optimize the entire backend API landscape for performance and maintainability.
• Contribute to the development of B2B solutions, addressing customization and integration requirements for enterprise clients.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure backend architecture supports overall product strategy and enhances user experience.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in backend development, with a strong requirement for TS/Node.
• Direct experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and familiarity with AWS, Azure, or other cloud providers.
• Demonstrated efficiency in ideation and implementation, with the ability to prioritize tasks based on urgency and impact.
• Preferred experience with Docker and containerized deployments.
• Preferred proficiency in deploying high-availability applications on Kubernetes.
