Platform Team Overview
The Platform team is responsible for building and maintaining all backend services, encompassing areas such as payments, analytics, subscriptions, new product development, text-to-speech functionality, and external APIs. This is a critical role for individuals who are strategic thinkers, thrive in fast-paced environments, are passionate about product decisions, and excel at creating delightful user experiences.
We emphasize work ethic, strong communication, and a drive for success. Our interview process is streamlined, aiming for completion within one week.
What You'll Do
- Design, develop, and maintain robust APIs, including public TTS APIs and internal APIs for payments, subscriptions, authentication, and consumption tracking, ensuring they meet business and scalability requirements.
- Manage and optimize the entire backend API landscape for performance and maintainability.
- Collaborate on business-to-business (B2B) solutions, focusing on customization and integration for enterprise clients.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to align backend architecture with the overall product strategy and user experience.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Proven experience in backend development, with a requirement for TypeScript/Node.js.
- Direct experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and familiarity with AWS, Azure, or other cloud providers.
- Strong ability in ideation and implementation, with effective task prioritization based on urgency and impact.
- Preferred: Experience with Docker and containerized deployments.
- Preferred: Proficiency in deploying high-availability applications on Kubernetes.
