Software Engineer

We are seeking a Software Engineer specializing in PHP development to join our team in Mumbai, India. This role requires expertise in PHP v7/8, Symphony, and React.

Responsibilities:

Key Activities:

• Identify process improvement opportunities and contribute to implementing solutions under guidance.
• Develop solutions and services to mitigate security threats.
• Contribute to the definition and application of development standards, guiding other team members.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to review specifications and contribute to requirement gathering.
• Interpret information to build and document new features according to standards.
• Review and interpret system designs created by others.
• Identify and resolve production issues, and provide support for Severity 1 and 2 incidents between 7 am and 10 pm on local working days.
• Perform and support production releases according to the release schedule.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 3-7 years of experience in software engineering.
• Strong hands-on technical skills in modern PHP (v7/8), Symphony Framework (2+), MySQL/MariaDB, Elasticsearch, Redis, JavaScript/TypeScript (React preferred), Unit Testing, GIT, XML, and JSON.
• Experience with Microsoft stack: .NET / .NET Core, C#, ASP.NET / MVC, SQL Server / T-SQL, Azure.
• Expert or working-level experience with Azure resources including App and API Services, Storage (Blobs, Tables, Queues), Service Bus, Functions, Logic Apps, and Cosmos DB.
• Ability to learn new languages and technologies quickly.
• Good understanding of software architecture, issues, and design.
• Solid understanding of data and databases.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and the complete product lifecycle.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical audiences.
