Role Overview
Join Applied Materials' Operations Software (OPS SW) team as a Software Engineer – Operations Software Automation. You will develop automation solutions that improve engineering efficiency and reduce production cycle times for semiconductor equipment.
About the Role
- Create software for tool calibration, process automation, monitoring, and data collection.
- Collaborate with global teams to implement AI-assisted development tools.
- Design, develop, test, and deploy novel solutions from concept to release.
You will work closely with engineers using Python, MATLAB, C#, or Java to solve high-value problems in the semiconductor industry.
Your Responsibilities
- Automate engineering workflows to boost productivity.
- Maintain applications and manage version control.
- Troubleshoot software issues and communicate project requirements effectively.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 3–4 years of professional experience (Mid-level).
- Strong proficiency in Python, MATLAB, C#, or Java.
- Familiarity with AI-powered development tools and testing practices.
