Full Job Description
At Acceldata, we are pioneering **data observability** to help enterprises manage and monitor data effectively. We are hiring a **Software Engineer - Open Data Platform (ODP)** to build and scale our enterprise-grade, open-source Open Data Platform (ODP), designed for cloud, hybrid, and on-premises environments. Your role will involve solving complex distributed systems challenges, including observability (health, quality, lineage, cost, and anomaly detection) for enterprise data stacks. Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and implementing end-to-end observability solutions for modern data platforms.
- Contributing to open-source projects, preferably within the Apache ecosystem, with at least 2-3 years of experience.
- Proficiency in programming languages like Java, Python, Scala, or Go, along with experience in distributed computing and high-performance applications.
- Working across diverse environments such as Hadoop, Kubernetes, Snowflake, Databricks, and multi-cloud platforms.
- Collaborating with senior leadership to present technical insights and drive strategic decisions.
- Ensuring smooth deployment, debugging, and troubleshooting to enhance software applications.
This is a full-time role offering impact at scale, working on critical systems for Fortune 500 companies. You’ll have ownership of end-to-end responsibilities, flexibility in cloud/hybrid/on-prem environments, and opportunities to influence the open-source community.
