Software Engineer

About This Role

As a Software Engineer at Kibo Commerce, you will leverage your strong .NET expertise to provide production support and implement enhancements for our enterprise applications. Your responsibilities will include troubleshooting and resolving bugs, addressing client-reported issues, and ensuring the overall reliability of our systems. You will collaborate closely with a skilled engineering team to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

What You'll Do

• Perform bug fixes and enhancements, along with production support for existing applications, including debugging and resolving client-reported issues.
• Write high-quality, scalable, and maintainable code, with a focus on multi-tenant SaaS architecture, n-tier distributed architecture, multi-datacenter resiliency, API-first design, and platform extensibility.
• Utilize technologies such as .NET Core/C#, ASP.NET Core Web API, Postgres, SQL Server, MongoDB, Solr, and Rabbit MQ.
• Employ Large Language Models (LLMs) for designing, writing, optimizing, and refactoring code to accelerate development and enhance code quality.
• Optimize existing systems by using AI-powered insights for debugging, performance tuning, and reducing technical debt.
• Work within Agile software development lifecycle methodologies, including daily scrums, collaboration, sprint reviews, and code demonstrations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the product lifecycle, including product management, user experience, product marketing, sales, support, professional services, partners, and customers.
• Contribute to unit and integration tests to ensure software quality.
• Participate in design and code reviews.

What You'll Need

• A minimum of 2 years of experience with technologies such as .NET Core/C#.
• Proven experience in a client-facing role, with excellent communication skills.
• Familiarity with ASP.NET Core Web API and a foundational understanding of Microservices Architecture.
• Experience with document database technologies, particularly MongoDB, is preferred.
• Knowledge of testing methodologies including Mock Testing, Unit Testing, Integration Testing, and System Testing, with proficiency in automated testing techniques using NUnit or similar tools.
• A solid understanding of version control systems like GIT.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools such as Scrum and Jira.
• Experience with relational databases such as SQL Server or Postgres is preferred.
• A passion for continuous learning and improving development skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with individuals from diverse skill sets.

Bonus Qualifications

• Front-end development experience using JavaScript and JS Frameworks (Angular, NodeJS, ReactJS, Ext.JS, Typescript, etc.).
• Experience with Cloud Technologies such as AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes.
