Software Engineer .NET Full Stack

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Software Engineer to join our team in Bengaluru/Bangalore, India. This role involves participating in and contributing to technology initiatives, focusing on improving service quality and availability. You will be responsible for the design, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation of software solutions for low to moderately complex projects, including upgrades and deployments. You'll also analyze technical challenges, evaluate alternative solutions, and present recommendations to resolve issues, escalating when necessary to meet service level agreements. This position requires independent judgment and an understanding of security and compliance requirements within the technology domain.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in low to moderately complex technology initiatives and projects.
• Identify opportunities for service quality and availability improvements.
• Design, code, test, debug, and document software for technology domain projects.
• Analyze technical assignments and research/evaluate alternative technology solutions.
• Present recommendations for issue resolution or escalate as needed.
• Exercise independent judgment and develop understanding of technology domain security and compliance.
• Communicate information to technology colleagues, internal partners, and stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of software engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.

Desired Qualifications:

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in software development and delivery.
• Strong proficiency in C# and .NET Core.
• Solid experience with SQL Server, including query optimization, performance tuning, and stored procedures.
• Hands-on experience with React.js for building modern, responsive user interfaces.
• In-depth knowledge of Entity Framework / Entity Framework Core.
• Experience designing and developing RESTful Web APIs.

Job Expectations:

• Design and develop clean, maintainable, and testable code.
• Build and consume RESTful APIs.
• Work with SQL Server and ORMs like Entity Framework/Dapper.
• Adhere to engineering best practices including unit testing, code reviews, and CI/CD.
• Troubleshoot, optimize, and maintain existing applications.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (Product, QA, DevOps).
• Apply security, performance, and scalability best practices.
• Take ownership of features from development through deployment and support.
