Software Engineer

We are seeking a Software Engineer with full-stack expertise on modern cloud-based infrastructure. You will build, enhance, and own technical delivery for products empowering our users across design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build stable, scalable features for Morningstar Direct using Java backend and JavaScript/TypeScript frontend frameworks (Vue, Nuxt, React).
• Ensure engineering quality through code reviews, automated unit/integration/API testing, CI/CD practices (Harness, GitHub Actions), and DevOps standards.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools responsibly to improve productivity while reducing technical debt.
• Mentor team members on scalable architecture, secure coding, cloud infrastructure (Docker/Kubernetes), and observability.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering or equivalent experience with 2+ years building modern SPAs.
• Proficiency in Java backend development and JavaScript/TypeScript frontend frameworks (Vue, Nuxt).
• Hands-on experience with Playwright for testing automation and AI-enabled application concepts.
• Familiarity with Python for scripting/AI integrations and Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
