Software Engineer

Speechify is seeking a Software Engineer to join our macOS Core Product team in Delhi, India. In this pivotal role, you will contribute to the development and scaling of Speechify's core desktop experience, serving millions of users. You will take ownership of significant aspects of our macOS application architecture, deliver production-ready code, and collaborate effectively with product, design, and engineering teams across the organization. What You'll Do

• Lead key engineering and product decisions for the macOS application.
• Write, test, and deploy production-quality code designed for scalability to millions of users.
• Maintain and enhance complex app architecture with a strong emphasis on performance and stability.
• Collaborate within a cross-functional team, working with designers and product managers to guide features from conception to launch.
• Actively participate in product planning and roadmap discussions.
• Champion continuous improvement in code quality, CI/CD processes, and development workflows.

What You Should Have

• Proven experience shipping macOS (or comparable desktop) applications used by a substantial customer base.
• Strong engineering acumen with a profound dedication to user experience.
• A strategic approach to product development, focusing on building great products beyond just coding.
• The ability to work efficiently, prioritize effectively, and iterate rapidly.
• Experience working within remote, distributed teams.

Technical Requirements

• Proficiency in Swift and SwiftUI for macOS development.
• A solid grasp of AppKit, macOS frameworks, and desktop-specific UI paradigms.
• A strong understanding of concurrency and asynchronous execution models.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and workflows, such as Bitrise, Xcode Cloud, or GitHub Actions.
