Software Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer (Python) to design, build, and deploy standalone web applications, internal tools, and automations. You will integrate with diverse systems via APIs, manage Azure cloud infrastructure including CI/CD pipelines, and implement AI-driven agent-based workflows using modern coding agents like Claude Code or Codex.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop full-stack web applications for internal business use.
• Design and consume RESTful APIs to connect disparate systems.
• Deploy and maintain applications on Microsoft Azure, ensuring robust monitoring and access control.
• Create automated workflows leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs) and agentic AI patterns where appropriate.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements and deliver scalable solutions from concept to production.
• Maintain post-launch observability and ensure system reliability.

Requirements

Essential:

• Proficiency in Python for building real-world applications, not just scripts.
• Strong command-line skills with Git (branching, code reviews).
• Solid understanding of API design and system integration.
• Fundamentals across frontend, backend, and database technologies.
• Experience deploying to production environments on Azure or similar clouds.
• Ability to implement observability solutions for live applications.
• Daily fluency with agentic coding tools (e.g., Claude Code).

Nice-to-Have:

• Familiarity with RAG, embeddings, and vector storage.
• Experience with containerization (Docker) or MCP servers.
• Azure cloud experience including App Service, Functions, SQL, and DevOps pipelines.

Seniority

We are looking for candidates with 2–4 years of hands-on software engineering experience. This is a full-time role based in Kolkata offering opportunities to grow within a varied project pipeline using current technologies.
