Software Engineer

Teesta Investment Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a Software Engineer for a full-time, on-site position at our Kolkata office. This is a critical role within our software development and engineering team, focusing on designing, developing, and optimizing the software infrastructure and applications for our trading systems. We require a highly skilled developer proficient in C++, with additional expertise across other coding platforms and languages. Prior experience in a High-Frequency Trading (HFT) environment is a significant advantage.

Key responsibilities include:

• Collaborating with senior engineers and cross-functional teams on the design, implementation, and optimization of software solutions.
• Developing, testing, and maintaining high-quality software applications primarily using C++.
• Analyzing and solving complex problems using Data Structures and Algorithms.
• Leveraging operating system principles to improve software functionality and efficiency.
• Participating in code reviews and knowledge sharing to uphold best practices and ensure code quality.
• Monitoring and troubleshooting production systems to ensure uninterrupted trading uptime.
• Staying abreast of the latest industry trends, trading technologies, and best practices.

Ideal candidates will possess:

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of software development experience, preferably in high-frequency or algorithmic trading.
• Strong C++ programming skills with a focus on efficient and maintainable code.
• A deep understanding of computer hardware and software interactions.
• Proficiency in Data Structures and Algorithms for problem-solving.
• Comprehensive knowledge of operating system design and functionality.
• A basic understanding of computer networking principles.
