Software Engineer

About the Role:

• We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer to build high-performing, scalable, enterprise-grade applications at PubMatic.
• You will lead Java/Java EE development across the full software lifecycle: concept, design, coding, testing, and deployment in a fast-paced Agile environment.
• End-to-end ownership includes designing solutions for new features, conducting feasibility analysis, producing functional/design specifications, planning execution, monitoring performance metrics, and ensuring application stability through continuous refinement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in technical design meetings and author detailed documentation.
• Develop product modules independently while maintaining code quality via refactoring and unit/integration testing (JUNIT).
• Troubleshoot complex issues across internal systems and customer environments.
• Collaborate within Agile teams to deliver robust solutions using tools like Kubernetes, Jenkins, Maven, GIT, Docker, etc.

Technical Requirements:

• Must-Haves: 2-4 years of experience in Core Java/J2EE (Java 11+), strong OOPS concepts, data structures, and SQL/NoSQL databases. Proficiency with REST APIs is essential.
• Development & Ops: Experience with Unix OS, scripting languages (Shell Script, Python, PHP) is a plus.
• Front-End: Familiarity with HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and AngularJS for full-stack awareness.
• Best Practices: Hands-on experience in TDD, code reviews, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile methodologies.

Nice to Have:

• Hands-on knowledge of Gen AI tools (e.g., Chat GPT, Gemini, GitHub Copilot) for productivity enhancement.

Qualifications:

• B.E./B.Tech. in Computer Science or equivalent degree required.
