Software Engineer Intermediate

Gentrack Ltd is seeking a Software Engineer - Intermediate to join our team in Pune, India. You will play a key role in developing high-quality Gentrack products by actively contributing and collaborating with team members and developers across various teams. Adherence to best coding practices and a strong team-player mentality are essential for this position.

In this role, you will support initiatives run by the GSTF and embody our company values by demonstrating a commitment to environmental and social responsibility. You will contribute by identifying and proposing local sustainable practices in line with our Sustainability Charter and actively participate in our sustainability app challenges to promote greener behaviors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze customer requests and produce solution artifacts and estimations.
• Conduct peer reviews of solution artifacts.
• Develop, maintain, deploy, and support solutions throughout their implementation lifecycle.
• Produce essential documentation for knowledge transfer.
• Actively participate in planning sessions, stand-ups, estimations, retrospectives, and backlog grooming.
• Establish and maintain strong business relationships with customers.
• Ensure adherence to company standards and procedures.
• Take ownership of a team's quality delivery of tasks.
• Identify and highlight relevant risks, providing recommendations for resolution.
• Perform basic network and database tasks.
• Communicate effectively with customers across all channels.
• Advise customers on the optimal use of Gentrack products and industry best practices.
• Collaborate within integrated business teams to achieve optimal business solutions.
• Act as a positive influence for technical best practices.
• Be open to working with proprietary languages.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent professional development and commercial experience.

Experience:

• 2-4 years of relevant experience.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in Programming/Software Development, specifically in C/C++.
• Strong experience in backend development using C/C++.
• Solid understanding of data structures and algorithms.
• Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies.
• Experience with at least one database system.
• Knowledge of Software Testing principles.
• Familiarity with System Design.
• Skills in Data Analysis.
• Understanding of User Experience Analysis.
• Innovative thinking capabilities.
