About the Role

Join Swarm Aero in redefining air power by building autonomous aircraft and Legion, our advanced command and control software designed to coordinate vast numbers of heterogeneous autonomous systems. As a Software Engineer Intern, you will own a scoped project with full responsibility for building, testing, integrating, and improving software solutions across frontend, backend, full-stack, real-time architectures, or forward-deployed environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Create robust product features spanning modern frontend interfaces, scalable backends, full-stack applications, real-time data processing, and systems ready for field deployment.
• Develop seamless interfaces for telemetry ingestion, geospatial data visualization, mission planning tools, scheduling modules, collaboration platforms, and system health monitoring dashboards.
• Architect and operate backend services, RESTful/gRPC APIs, event-driven architectures, and high-throughput data pipelines.
• Craft comprehensive automated test suites, enhance developer tooling ecosystems, and deliver production-quality software aligned with industry standards.
• Support live integration events and testing exercises, debug complex issues across distributed systems and networks, and translate technical insights into tangible product improvements.
