Software Engineer

Kestra is seeking a talented Integrations Software Engineer to join our dynamic team and propel our platform's capabilities to new heights.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain robust plugins that seamlessly connect our orchestration platform with diverse external systems, APIs, and databases.
• Design and implement bespoke plugins tailored for our customers, ensuring smooth integration of their existing systems with Kestra.
• Conduct comprehensive testing of all integration solutions to proactively identify and resolve any issues, ensuring high-quality delivery.
• Continuously research and stay abreast of emerging technologies and best practices to enhance our integration capabilities and offerings.
• Thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment where speed, agility, and prioritizing customer value are essential to our success.

Essential Qualifications:

• A professional background of 4+ years in backend development, with a strong command of Java and familiarity with its modern ecosystem.
• Demonstrated experience in polyglot programming, including proficiency in languages such as Python, Node.js, or Go.
• A solid understanding of various system protocols, including but not limited to REST, JSON, GraphQL, SQL, and MQ.
• Exceptional aptitude for rapid learning; you are curious, eager to acquire new technical skills, and can adapt swiftly to different technical environments.
• Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to approach technical challenges directly and deliver elegant, effective solutions.
• A high degree of autonomy and independence in managing your workload, projects, and delivering results within a fast-paced startup culture.

Desirable Skills:

• Previous contributions to or maintenance of an open-source project.
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes, as well as major public cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Experience working with a wide array of technologies, including databases, message queues, and other infrastructure components.
