Software Engineer Role Overview

BigStep Technologies is seeking a skilled Software Engineer with strong backend expertise to join our team. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Node.js (Golang is a plus).

Key Responsibilities:

• Build secure, high-performance APIs and microservices using Node.js (Express/NestJS) and cloud-native principles.
• Optimize data modeling, query performance, and database interactions with PostgreSQL or other SQL databases.
• Develop responsive frontend applications using React.js while collaborating with design and DevOps teams.
• Ensure application quality through rigorous testing and early regression detection.
• Manage AWS Cloud, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and containerized deployments.
• Troubleshoot production issues in a fast-paced environment while staying updated on industry trends.

Qualifications:

• 4.5+ years of full-stack development experience with a focus on backend engineering.
• Strong proficiency in Node.js, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and React.js.
• Experience with distributed systems, design patterns, and microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with AI-driven tools or workflows is a plus.
