Software Engineer III

About the Role

DBByte is seeking a talented Software Engineer III for our full-time remote team. In this position, you will design, build, and maintain high-performance distributed systems that form the backbone of our data infrastructure platform.

Your Day-to-Day:

• Designing new features to enhance speed, scale, and reliability for global applications.
• Optimizing existing services and troubleshooting production issues in real-time environments.
• Collaborating with cross-functional product and infrastructure teams to deliver scalable solutions.
• Mentoring less experienced engineers and contributing to architectural decisions.

Your Qualifications:

• Strong proficiency in backend languages such as Go, Java, Python, or Rust.
• Hands-on experience with data infrastructure tools including object storage, CDNs, caching strategies, databases, and message queues.
• Mastery of modern development practices: Git version control, automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and robust code review workflows.
• Solid understanding of system design patterns, performance optimization techniques, and reliability engineering for high-traffic environments.
• Experience working with major cloud providers like AWS, GCP, or Azure, preferably using infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform and Kubernetes.
