Software Engineer III

As a Software Engineer III, you will serve as a seasoned member of an agile team within the Commercial & Investment Bank, designing and delivering trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way.Job Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications using Java, Spring Boot, React, Python, and AWS cloud-native solutions.
- Engage in prompt engineering for LLMs and utilize AI tech tools like GitHub Copilot to enhance productivity.
- Demonstrate experience leading the use of approved AI-assisted software development tools while validating outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Participate in code reviews, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and apply emerging technologies (Lang chain, Lang graph, RAG) to improve systems.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines, containerization with Docker/Kubernetes, and use messaging frameworks like Kafka.
- Apply knowledge of SQL, JDBC, Spring JPA, and responsible AI principles including data sensitivity considerations in a financial services environment. Required Qualifications
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience (Mid to Senior Level).
- Proven experience with Core Java, REST, Hibernate, Unit Testing frameworks.
- Strong skills in UI technologies including React and design patterns.
- Experience deploying applications in cloud environments like AWS.
- Proficiency in writing SQL queries and database management concepts. Preferred Qualifications
- Platform engineering experience or knowledge of Syndicated deals.
- Prior experience in the financial services industry.
