Software Engineer III - Java in Hyderabad

Zinnia is seeking experienced Senior Software Engineers to play a pivotal role in the design, development, unit testing, installation, and ongoing maintenance of our software platforms. You will collaborate with stakeholders to create solutions and products that enhance the efficiency and service delivery for both Zinnia's internal teams and our clients. This role involves direct interaction with technical leaders, business stakeholders, and potentially Zinnia clients.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate within a global, cross-functional team to develop innovative software for Zinnia stakeholders.
• Contribute to projects by producing well-designed, customized, testable, and efficient code for Zinnia platforms.
• Support existing Zinnia platforms through troubleshooting, improvements, and custom enhancements.
• Demonstrate flexibility to meet the evolving development and delivery needs of Zinnia.
• Engage with global teams, internal stakeholders, and customers.
• Mentor team members and serve as a technology expert, conducting technical reviews.
• Architect, design, develop, and validate requirements for Zinnia platforms.
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment, adapting to changing business needs and prioritizing tasks effectively.
• Exhibit self-motivation, working both independently and collaboratively with team members and business units. Show enthusiasm and flexibility across a variety of projects.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering/Sciences.
• 5-10 years of experience in backend technologies including Java, J2EE, Spring, DAO, Apache Service Mix, ANT, JBoss, Apache Camel, Git, Maven, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Exposure to frontend stacks such as JSP, JavaScript, React.js, Angular, HTML, and CSS.
• Demonstrate patience and perseverance in problem-solving and learning new computer languages and techniques.
• Experience in architecting, designing, developing, and delivering tasks using JEE technologies.
• Proficiency in issue management, deployment, and delivery support, with an understanding of DevOps support models. Strong team coordination, analytical skills, self-learning capabilities, communication, technical documentation, and system analysis skills are essential.
• Excellent work ethic and the ability to work and travel independently.
• Effective communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills, including strong troubleshooting abilities.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a cross-functional, global team.

Bonus Points:

• Object-Oriented Programming (OOPS) and design patterns.
• Programming using Java 8/J2EE.
• Competence and comfort using multiple frameworks like Spring and Spring Boot.
• Experience with SOA/Microservice Architecture.
• Knowledge and experience with REST.
• Familiarity with Git, Maven, and Docker.
