We have an exciting opportunity to take your software engineering career to the next level at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial & Investment Bank - Payments Technology team. As a Software Engineer III - Java Full Stack Developer + React, you will be part of an agile team designing and delivering reliable, secure, scalable technology products.
Job Responsibilities:
- Execute software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with the ability to think beyond conventional approaches.
- Create secure production code maintaining algorithms synchronized with appropriate systems.
- Leverage enterprise-authorized AI coding tools to improve quality and productivity while validating outputs through peer review.
- Apply knowledge of SDLC toolchain including automation capabilities.
- Produce architecture artifacts for complex applications ensuring design constraints are met.
- Analyze large data sets to drive continuous improvement of software systems.
Required Qualifications:
- Formal training or certification in software engineering with 3+ years applied experience.
- Hands-on practical experience in system design, development, testing, and operational stability.
- Experience in full stack development focusing on Java frameworks such as Spring Boot, Hibernate.
- Front-end technology expertise including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React JS.
- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and web services.
- Experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle) and version control systems like Git; practical cloud native experience on AWS required.
- Hands-on using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development tools to critically evaluate outputs for security and performance.
- Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows including data sensitivity considerations.
- Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with modern front-end technologies.
- Exposure to cloud technologies including experience with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Docker, or Kubernetes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
