Software Engineer III

About the Role

JPMorganChase is seeking a seasoned Software Engineer III within Consumer & Community Banking to design and deliver trusted technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You will execute critical solutions across various technical areas supporting business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create high-quality production code and maintain algorithms using enterprise-authorized AI coding assist tools for generation, refactoring, testing, and documentation.
• Leverage the SDLC toolchain including automation capabilities to improve operational value.
• Produce architecture artifacts ensuring design constraints are met by software development.
• Analyze large data sets to drive continuous improvement in system applications.

Required Qualifications:

• Formal training or certification with 3+ years of applied experience.
• Extensive Java expertise, AWS platform engineering, systems design, and microservices development (Java 17+, Spring Boot).
• Familiarity with Kafka, Rest APIs, Splunk, Dynatrace, SQL/NoSQL databases like Cassandra, and React-based front-end UIs.
• Experience in DevOps models, CI/CD tooling, SonarQube, CheckMarx for static/dynamic code review.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise-authorized AI-assisted tools (e.g., Gemini, Claude, CoPilot) and responsible AI usage within engineering workflows.
