Software Engineer III

Fanatics is seeking a talented Software Engineer to join their dynamic Commerce Integrations team in Hyderabad, India. This mid-level role is crucial for building and maintaining the core infrastructure that powers Fanatics' e-commerce operations. The team is responsible for critical flows connecting vendors, logistics partners, and internal systems, including EDI (Electronic Data Interchange), vendor compliance tooling, and integration services historically built on MuleSoft.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and operate scalable and reliable backend services, primarily using Golang, to process, validate, and route e-commerce and EDI data.
• Enhance the observability, resiliency, and operational efficiency of existing EDI partner and FIT services through automation and platform improvements.
• Develop data pipelines and reconciliation tooling to increase data availability and minimize manual analyst effort.
• Contribute to significant cloud migration efforts, moving legacy services to modern, cloud-native AWS architectures.
• Collaborate with product managers, analysts, and partner teams to gather and implement integration requirements.
• Participate in on-call rotations to ensure production stability and rapid incident response.
• Write clean, testable, and well-documented code, contributing to a culture of high-quality software development.
• Debug and resolve complex issues across distributed systems and integration boundaries.
• Provide essential production support for EDI partner integrations and MuleSoft-based FIT services, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and coordinating fixes with internal and external stakeholders.

What We're Looking For:

• 2-5 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in building backend services with Golang, or strong experience in another backend language with a demonstrated ability to learn Golang quickly.
• Solid understanding of relational databases, with a preference for Postgres.
• Experience working with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Familiarity with message-based systems such as RabbitMQ, Kafka, or SQS.
• Comfort and experience in distributed systems and integration-heavy environments.

Nice to Have:

• Experience in e-commerce, supply chain, logistics, or vendor compliance.
• Exposure to MuleSoft.
• Experience supporting or executing cloud migration projects.
• Familiarity with reconciliation, data quality, or operational reporting systems.
• Experience supporting EDI flows through third-party providers like OpenText or VANs.
