About the Role
We are seeking versatile Software Engineers to work on critical projects for Google's Payments Platform. You will develop next-generation technologies handling massive scale data across information retrieval, distributed computing, networking, and security domains.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
- 1 year of experience with an advanced degree OR 2 years in software development
- Full stack development skills: Back-end (Java, Python, Golang, C++) and Front-end (JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML/CSS)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science
- Experience with data structures and algorithms
- Knowledge of developing accessible technologies
About the Job
The Payments team focuses on making payments simple, seamless, and secure. Whether it is paying online with Autofill, using tap and pay in stores, or using the Google Pay app, we power money movement between Google and its consumers.
Responsibilities:
- Write product or system development code
- Participate in design reviews to decide on available technologies
- Review peer code for best practices (style guidelines, accuracy, testability)
- Contribute to documentation and adapt content based on updates
- Triage issues and debug by analyzing sources of problems impacting operations
