Software Engineer III

We are seeking a Software Engineer III to join our dynamic team at Walmart Global Tech India in Chennai. In this role, you will participate in project discovery, collaborate with cross-functional teams to define high-level designs, and troubleshoot complex business and production issues. You will be responsible for conducting root cause analysis, developing innovative solutions, and managing projects from conception to delivery. This position involves translating business requirements into technical solutions, writing and testing code, and ensuring the sustainability of developed solutions. You will also provide crucial support to the business by responding to user inquiries, researching solutions, and guiding users. Additionally, you will mentor junior engineers, ensuring adherence to company policies, values, and ethical standards. This role emphasizes Agile methodologies, robust software design principles, and effective project management, all within a culture that fosters respect, integrity, customer focus, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will have experience with requirements analysis, coding languages such as JavaScript, Python, or C#, frameworks, testing methodologies, defect management, and DevOps practices.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Option 1: Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 2 years of experience in software engineering or related area.
• Option 2: 4 years of experience in software engineering or related area.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or related area.
• Experience in creating inclusive digital experiences, knowledge of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility.
