Software Engineer III

This role involves working in a collaborative, diverse, and geographically distributed team, focusing on customer needs and leveraging new technologies. You will be part of product-and-project-focused teams, engaging with areas such as fraud prevention, identity services, money transfers, card payments, lending, customer onboarding, core banking, insurance, rewards campaigns, and servicing innovations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop cloud-native microservices architecture applications using modern technologies and best practices.
• Employ domain modeling techniques for best-in-class business product development.
• Create well-structured, understandable, testable, and evolvable software.
• Build scalable solutions that avoid single points of failure.
• Write secure code to protect customers and the company from malicious actors.
• Investigate and resolve issues promptly to prevent recurrence.
• Ensure zero-downtime releases for end-users.
• Optimize data writing and reading processes.
• Monitor performance and implement effective problem-solving approaches.
• Maintain reliable and easily operable systems, continuously updating technologies and patterns.
• Support products throughout their lifecycle, including production and incident management.

Required Skills:

• Formal software engineering training and applied experience.
• Recent professional back-end software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in a recent version of the Java programming language.
• Experience in designing and implementing various types of tests (unit, component, integration, end-to-end, performance).
• Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
• Understanding of cloud technologies, distributed systems, RESTful APIs, and web technologies.
• Familiarity with relational data stores.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in highly regulated environments.
• Knowledge of messaging frameworks.
• Familiarity with cloud-native microservices architecture.
• Understanding of AWS cloud technologies.
