Software Engineer II - Techno Functional Quality Engineer
JPMorgan Chase is seeking a talented Software Engineer II to join their TaxSmart platform team. In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting critical multi-year initiatives. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with the team and stakeholders to develop strategic plans, identifying diverse testing needs to ensure platform delivery, quality, and stability. You will be accountable for creating, executing, and automating test cases, with opportunities to contribute to non-functional testing.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain reusable automated frameworks, tooling, and utilities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and business users to understand application requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Write and test features manually, with a focus on driving automation.
- Partner with release and DevOps teams to support pre and post-deployment testing.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) needs in collaboration with business users, trade operations teams, and vendors.
- Develop and conduct non-functional testing.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of quality assurance experience, with a track record of managing complex initiatives in fintech organizations.
- Strong understanding of Asset and Wealth Management operations and trading.
- Proficient programming skills in Python, NodeJS, Java, Java Script, Groovy, SQL, and big data technologies, with an aptitude for working across diverse technologies.
- Solid experience in UI and API automation.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD tools.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and presentation skills for effective teamwork.
- Good understanding of industry best practices in Quality Engineering (QE) and development within the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including metrics and release management.
- Demonstrated ability to be an excellent team player.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Experience in the asset and wealth management domain is highly preferred.
