Software Engineer II

About the Role

Join an agile team at JPMorganChase within the Commercial & Investment Bank. As a Software Engineer II, you will enhance, design, and deliver state-of-the-art technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable environment.

• Execute standard software solutions involving design, development, and technical troubleshooting with limited guidance.
• Write secure, high-quality code using modern programming languages such as Python, FastAPI/Django, Spark/Pyspark.
• Leverage enterprise-authorized AI coding assist tools to improve productivity while validating outputs through peer review and automated testing.
• Analyze large data sets to identify problems and contribute to decision-making for secure application development.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in software engineering concepts with 2+ years of applied experience.
• Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability within a large corporate environment.
• Demonstrable ability to code in modern languages like Python and SQL/NoSQL database querying.
• Experience using AI-assisted software development tools for coding, testing, troubleshooting, or documentation with the ability to critically evaluate outputs.
• Understanding of responsible AI use, including data sensitivity and secure handling of inputs/outputs.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Application Resiliency, Security best practices, Agile methodologies, and Cloud technologies (AWS/Azure/GCP).

• Exposure to modern front-end technologies.
• Advanced knowledge of GenAI/LLMs, Agentic AI, or other emerging technical disciplines.
