Software Engineer II

As a Software Engineer within the Corporate Technology division, you will be an integral part of an agile team responsible for designing, developing, and delivering secure, stable, and scalable market-leading technology products. Your role will involve implementing critical technology solutions to support the firm's business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop innovative software solutions, undertaking technical troubleshooting for complex problems.
• Write secure, high-quality production code and conduct thorough code reviews and debugging.
• Identify and implement automation for recurring issues to enhance operational stability.
• Lead evaluation sessions for architectural designs and technical capabilities with vendors, startups, and internal teams.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, data scientists, machine learning engineers, and other stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle.
• Contribute positively to a team culture that values diversity, inclusion, and respect.
• Stay abreast of advancements in large language models and generative AI, integrating new techniques and leveraging external APIs.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Formal training or certification in software engineering principles and a minimum of 2 years of practical application.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or Java.
• Experience in developing and maintaining applications on public cloud platforms.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Hands-on experience with big data technologies, particularly Spark and Databricks.
• Proven experience working with the Databricks platform.
• Strong proficiency in PySpark.
• Familiarity with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Experience in implementing automation and continuous delivery methodologies.
• Exposure to machine learning operations (MLOps).
