About The Role

FactSet's Private Equity & Venture Capital (PEVC) product is a comprehensive research platform for the private markets ecosystem. We are seeking a Python Developer to join our engineering team in Hyderabad/Secunderabad, India.

Your Impact: You will build data pipelines and tools leveraging Python, proprietary libraries, and AWS technologies to improve productivity and operational efficiency.

• Deliver high-quality, maintainable code with Unit / Integration Testing within estimated timelines.
• Demonstrate proactive problem-solving skills and effective collaboration in an Agile environment using Jira and Confluence.
• Perform Code Reviews ensuring best practices are followed throughout the development lifecycle.
• Take ownership of end-to-end product features, driving individual contributions to scalable solutions.
• Leverage performance metrics for continuous improvement and stability enhancements.
• Foster a culture of knowledge sharing both internally and externally within our Scrum Agile framework.

Required Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science.
2+ years total industry experience, including 1-2 years specifically in Python development.
Strong proficiency with Python, Pandas, and NumPy.
Hands-on experience with AWS services (Amazon Kinesis, Glue, Redshift, EC2, S3, Fargate, Lambda, EMR).
Solid knowledge of relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MSSQL.
Experience working in a GitHub-based development workflow.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to thrive in fast-paced environments.

Desired Skills

• Familiarity with Jupyter Notebooks for data analysis.
  Infrastructure as Code experience using Terraform.
  Knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum is a plus).
  Proficiency working within Linux/Unix operating systems.
