Software Engineer II

We are seeking a talented Software Engineer II to join our Consumer and Community Banking team. In this role, you will be a key member of an agile team responsible for designing and delivering secure, stable, and scalable technology products. You will work on critical technology solutions across various business functions to support firm-wide objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and troubleshoot software solutions, employing innovative approaches to problem-solving.
• Write secure, high-quality production code and develop algorithms that integrate seamlessly with existing systems.
• Create architecture and design artifacts for complex applications, ensuring adherence to design constraints.
• Analyze and synthesize data from large datasets to drive improvements in software applications and systems.
• Implement and manage Amazon Connect CCaaS (Contact Center as a Service) solutions to enhance customer service.
• Integrate Amazon Connect with AWS Lambda for custom business logic and data processing.
• Proactively identify and address system issues and patterns to improve coding practices and architecture.
• Contribute to software engineering communities and explore emerging technologies.
• Foster a culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect within the team.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with 2+ years of applied experience.
• Hands-on experience with Amazon Connect, including contact flow design and implementation.
• Proficiency with AWS services such as S3, DynamoDB, CloudWatch, and Kinesis Data Stream.
• Experience with contact center technologies and best practices.
• Programming experience in Python, JavaScript, or Java.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, including Spinnaker.
• Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle.
• Solid knowledge of agile methodologies, CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
• Demonstrated experience in technical disciplines like cloud, AI, ML, or mobile development.

Preferred Skills:

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified Developer certification.
• Experience with other CCaaS platforms.
• Knowledge of VoIP and telephony integrations.
