Software Engineer II

Role Overview

You will join the Commercial & Investment Bank- Payments Technology team at JPMorganChase to design, develop, and deliver secure, stable, and scalable software components within an agile environment. This role is ideal for emerging engineering talent seeking to advance their career through hands-on experience in system architecture and application development.

Key Responsibilities

• Create standard software solutions with minimal guidance using modern programming languages.
• Leverage enterprise-authorized AI coding tools responsibly to enhance productivity while validating outputs via peer review and automated testing.
• Troubleshoot technical issues across upstream and downstream systems, focusing on basic complexity problems.
• Analyze diverse large datasets to identify patterns that drive secure application development decisions.

Required Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering with 2+ years of applied experience.
• Practical expertise in system design, testing, and operational stability within a large corporate environment.
• Solid grasp of AI-assisted development tools for coding and documentation, including data sensitivity awareness.
• Familiarity with the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies like CI/CD.

Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience as a Full Stack Java developer in enterprise settings.
• Skillset covering microservices deployment on AWS Elastic Kubernetes/Elastic Container Service to EC2 instances.
• Achievement of 10,000+ lines of code via AI tools with strong validation practices.
