Software Engineer II

About the Role

Join JPMorgan Chase as a Software Engineer II within the Asset and Wealth Management Data and Analytics team. As an emerging member of our agile group in Mumbai, you will design, enhance, and deliver secure, stable, and scalable software components for state-of-the-art technology products.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute standard software solutions involving design, development, and technical troubleshooting with limited guidance.
• Write secure, high-quality code using modern programming languages such as Java or Python within a full-stack environment including React and TypeScript.
• Leverage enterprise-authorized AI coding assist tools to improve code quality, delivery speed, productivity, unit test creation, documentation, while validating outputs through peer review and automated testing.
• Apply technical troubleshooting skills to break down solutions and solve basic complexity technical problems across upstream and downstream systems.
• Analyze large, diverse data sets to identify problems and contribute to decision-making for secure application development.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with formal training in software engineering concepts and 2+ years of applied experience.
• Full-stack proficiency: React, TypeScript, Java/Python Backend, AI skills, AWS infrastructure.
• Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability within a large corporate environment.
• Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows including data sensitivity considerations and adherence to resiliency standards.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies such as CI/CD pipelines, Application Resiliency practices, and Security protocols.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Java frameworks like Spring Boot and Spring JPA.
• Knowledge of modern front-end technologies and database querying languages.
• Exposure to cloud technologies specifically AWS services.
