Software Engineer II

We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer II - Java Full Stack Developer to join our Commercial & Investment Bank team. In this role at JPMorgan Chase in Bengaluru, you will design and deliver trusted, market-leading technology products that support the firm's business objectives across multiple technical areas.

• Gather and evaluate user requirements with product owners and stakeholders globally.
• Leverage enterprise-authorized AI coding tools to enhance code quality, delivery speed, and productivity while adhering to secure coding standards.
• Utilize SDLC toolchain automation capabilities including advanced development frameworks like Spring Boot and React on AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Design, code, test, implement, maintain, and support critical applications delivered within budget and timeline constraints.
• Collaborate independently with minimal supervision while contributing to global innovation efforts across all time zones (including US overlap).

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent certification in software engineering concepts with 3+ years of applied experience.
• Full-stack development expertise focused on Java applications for large/medium-scale projects.
• Solid experience with React, Spring Framework, and Spring Boot.
• Demonstrated proficiency in AWS cloud environments building business-critical systems.
• Familiarity with DevOps tools, processes, APIs, and messaging mechanisms like Kafka or MQ.
• Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development tools for coding, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation. Must be able to critically validate AI-generated outputs for correctness, performance, and security.

• Familiarity with modern front-end technologies beyond React (e.g., Angular).
• Additional exposure to cloud technologies and responsible AI use in engineering workflows including data sensitivity considerations. Experience building agentic AI applications is a plus.
